Press Release Summary = Thirty student poets from the Delphian School have had poems accepted to the Pine Tree Poetry Collection.
Press Release Body = Thirty students from the Delphian School in Sheridan, Oregon, have had their poetry accepted for publication in the annual edition of the Pine Tree Poetry Collection. This is a nationwide competition, and the Delphian School has the distinction of having 30 of their poets accepted for publication.
Each year judges from Pine Tree Poetry read the poems of students age 5 through 18. Poems may be part of a class poetry lesson, an enrichment project, or written by students on their own. Each poem must be the student's own work and may be written in any style. The poets from the Delphian School who will be published in this year's anthology are: Joni Whitworth, Gia Vangieri, Kursten Neuhauser, Elana Perpelitt, Lee Rector, Andres Roden, Jenna Hanson, Kristen Collins, Kevin Kim, Jeff Kang, Corey Snider, Jason Knickerbocker, Meagen Fowler, Madison Bryan, Tyler Orthmann, Stella Mutrux, Nathan Forsgren, Spencer Tweed, Jael Figueroa, Jasmine Lee, Lindsay Price, Kaylee Knickerbocker, Ye Han Kim, Ashleigh Chancelor, Dillon Rivera, Zack Bittner, Julian Perpelitt, Deirdre Keough, Brett Horton and Hanna Robertson.
One school library from each state will be selected to receive a $500 donation from the publisher. This award is given to the school with the highest number of poets selected for publication. The Delphian School looks like it is certainly a contender for this prize.
